Too often I offer 3 tips, or 7 Keys, but today I am offering just one practical tool to reduce your anxiety.
Are you willing to do just one thing differently today?
Put your phone down. Grab a notebook and a pen. Grab a coffee too, if you'd like.
Write today's day, date and time. Now proceed to write down what's running through your mind. Questions you are contemplating, arguments you are stewing over, and decision your are wrestling with are all great places to start.
You can prompt yourself with something like: "Today is a great day to..." and see what comes up for you.
or:
"If it was December 31st and I look back on this year, I am so happy and grateful that..."
When it comes to offering you, my reader, just one practical tool that I know will reduce your stress and anxiety, writing is the key!
There is something about the physical connection between pen and paper that stimulates the diminishment of stress. The physical action moves the emotional reactivity through you and out to the page.
Please let me know how writing it down and releasing it works for you!
